Every Software Tailor AI app is offered under one of two license tiers — Personal (Non-Commercial) or Commercial — and in three SKU shapes: Monthly subscription, Annual subscription, or One-Time license. Pricing is set per app and shown on the participating app store at the point of purchase.
Personal or Commercial — pick the one that matches how you use the app
Personal (Non-Commercial)
For individuals using the app for private, household, hobby, or educational purposes — never in revenue-generating work or on behalf of an organisation.
Who it's for
Individuals using the app for themselves at home, hobbyists, students, and learners.

- Self-directed learning and educational practice.
- Non-revenue creative work (writing, art, side experiments).
✗ Not allowed under this tier
- Use by or on behalf of a business, government, or non-profit in its operations.
- Work product sold, billed, or used to generate revenue.
- Deployment on shared organisational hardware or multi-user company devices.

Commercial
For any use by or on behalf of a business, government, non-profit, or in any revenue-generating context — including using the app to deliver paid work product.
Who it's for
Companies of any size, government agencies, non-profits, contractors, freelancers billing for their work, and any individual using the app in a revenue-generating context.

- Internal business use across the licensed organisation.

Seats & entitlement
One Commercial seat covers one named user or one device per the participating app store's entitlement model. Seat count is set at purchase; expanding the organisation requires additional seats.
Monthly, Annual, or One-Time — pick the billing shape
Each tier (Personal or Commercial) is sold in all three SKU shapes. Mix-and-match across apps; tier and shape are chosen at the point of purchase in the store.
Monthly subscription
Billed every month at the then-current rate. Auto-renews unless cancelled. Includes app updates during the subscription. Switch tiers by starting a new subscription.

Pay once for perpetual use of the version purchased. Does not auto-renew. Includes updates to the current major version; future major versions are sold as separate licenses.

Participating app stores
Software Tailor AI apps are distributed through participating app stores. Tier and SKU are selected at the point of purchase in the store; pricing, billing, and refunds are handled by the store.
Microsoft Store (Windows)
All Software Tailor Windows AI apps are listed on the Microsoft Store. Both Personal and Commercial SKUs are available; entitlement and seat rules follow the Microsoft Store model.

FAQ
Is the Free 1-Week Pilot the same as the Personal tier?
No. The Free 1-Week Pilot is a custom-software-development sales offering — one scoped deliverable demoed on Friday. It is unrelated to AI app licenses.
Is the free app customization service bundled with the Personal tier?
No. The free customization service is an independent goodwill offering for app rebranding and is not tied to any AI app license tier.
How are existing customers' licenses treated?
Existing customers continue under the terms in effect at the time of purchase. When a new major version of an app is released, Software Tailor may (at its discretion) offer registration-based upgrade discounts or migration benefits to existing licence holders — registration through the app may be required. Can I move a Commercial seat from Microsoft Store to Google Play?
No. Entitlements are per-store and not portable. A Commercial seat purchased in Microsoft Store is honoured in Microsoft Store; same logic applies to Google Play.
Can I switch tiers later (Personal to Commercial)?
Yes — start a new subscription or buy a new one-time license under the Commercial tier. Tier is fixed at the point of purchase per SKU; switching requires a new purchase.
