The company making AI private
Software Tailor sits at the intersection of the two biggest forces in software today — AI adoption and data privacy. We build local-first AI apps for individuals and on-premises AI platforms for enterprises: software architected so we never see your data at all.
Why private AI, why now
Cloud AI trades privacy for capability
AI is becoming universal, but the dominant delivery model — cloud APIs — forces users and enterprises to send their data to someone else's servers to get it. For a growing share of people and organisations, that trade is not acceptable.
Regulation is moving our way
The EU AI Act, data-residency requirements, and sector rules in healthcare, finance, and government are making on-premises AI the safe default for sensitive work. Procurement teams increasingly ask where the data goes before they ask what the model can do. We cover these shifts in our Articles section.
Hardware has caught up
Ordinary consumer hardware can now run genuinely useful models locally — no top-tier GPU required. And because local inference has no per-token bill, the cost argument for local AI improves every year the hardware does.
One company, three reinforcing legs
Most companies in this space pick one lane. Software Tailor spans consumer, enterprise, and services — all built on the same local-first architecture.
Consumer: the AI Suite
15+ local AI apps shipping on Microsoft Store and Google Play — chat, writing, dictation, translation, PDFs, images, voice. The apps share one private, on-device intelligence: the more of the suite you use, the more helpful it gets, and all of that learning stays on your device.
Enterprise: the on-prem platform
AI Server, AI Admin Console, and the related on-premises product line bring the same privacy stance to organisational scale: AI on the customer's hardware, with enterprise SSO, policy controls, audit logs, and central administration.
Services: AI-accelerated development
A custom software development practice where small senior teams use AI to do the work large junior teams used to do. It keeps us close to what real customers need — and it pays its own way.
The three legs reinforce each other: the consumer suite builds trust and distribution, the enterprise line monetises depth, and services fund and inform both.
How the company earns
Per-app licences
Every consumer app has a free tier, with paid Personal and Commercial licences sold as Monthly, Annual, or One-Time SKUs through the app stores. The full model is on our licensing page.
Enterprise licensing
The server product line — AI Server, AI Admin Console, and the related on-premises servers — is licensed to organisations that run it on their own hardware, inside their own perimeter.
Development services
AI-accelerated custom development engagements for enterprises. Services revenue funds product work and keeps the product roadmap grounded in what paying customers actually ask for.
Nineteen years, zero project failures
These are the numbers we can stand behind — no projections, no vanity metrics.
- Founded 2007 in Hong Kong
- 6+ Fortune Global 500 customers
- 15+ named enterprise clients
- Zero project failures since 2007
- Five open-competition awards
- 15+ local AI apps on Microsoft Store and Google Play
Where the product line is headed
Direction, not commitments — we don't publish roadmap dates.
Deeper suite integration
The AI Suite apps already share one private, on-device intelligence. We are making that shared layer do more, so every app benefits from what the others learn — locally.
One console for every server
Central management of all our enterprise servers from a single admin console — one place for policy, users, and audit across the whole on-prem line.
Training and certification
Formal training and certification for the administrators who run our platforms — because an on-prem product is only as strong as the people operating it.
A growing app catalogue
More local AI apps for daily life, each free to start and private by architecture, each adding another reason to stay inside the suite.
